Verizon can make calls but not receive.
Jan 7, 2022 · The watch does have cellular service and a plan through Verizon along with the phone. When the watch and phone are miles apart, I can make phone calls with the watch, but texting does not work on the watch. The texts do not go through and they do not come in. Texting works fine while the watch is near the phone.

NO phone calls in but I can make phone calls from the phone. To be honest, this is getting a bit maddening, especially when it takes 2 hours to supposedly resolve the situation only to be told to call someone else. But here is what I do, go into settings>phone>silence unknown calls. Turn that on for 20 seconds and at the same time turn on do not disturb and airplane mode. Then turn off airplane mode, do not disturb, and silence unknown calls. That typically works for 24 hours. Literally no clue why from either Verizon or Apple.
