If you aren’t familiar the Ruger Security 9 was released in late 2017 and the intention of the pistol was to replace the Ruger SR series of pistols and the LCP II. The Ruger SR series was later discontinued in 2019 but the LCP series lives on. The Ruger Security 9 has been reported to have a few issues namely with feeding and ejecting.My American is the Pro. The Security 9 has blued parts, that I have found needs to be kept well oiled as it is prone to rust, plastic sights, and a safety that is hard to manipulate and pivots from the wrong end. But it has a hammer, which in my opinion is a good thing. But the Security 9 is a very functional pistol.Also make sure the ejector is pushed all the way up in the normal position. If it's not, the trigger may not reset properly. Hopefully this will help but it's hard to tell without actually looking at the pistol.
