The LIM Gasket failure on the 3800 II should be common knowledge to most mechanics, unless they are just shade tree mechanics, that is in my opinion. Sounds like it could be leaky lower intake gaskets. This has been an on-going problem (very common on the 3.1 & 3.4's). When the lower intake gaskets get old, the seals around coolant ports begins to seep a bit. And when the engine cools, the oil near these ports gets sucked into the coolant as it cools.
