For about two days, it worked occasionally from the passenger switch but without auto up or auto down functions. Then it quit working completely, in the up position. I have checked all the fuses dealing with power windows.Window switch update. I brought the car to the dealer this morning and apparently this window switch issue is a very common problem! Apparently it just needs to be reset and the way you solve the problem is to run the window all the way up so it's closed, then you pull on the up switch again and hold it for 3 seconds. Hello. Our 2011 Outback Premium 2.5i driver side front window isn’t going down. My wife did get something caught in it, but it worked after that. The other 3 front door driver’s window switches work. This morning my driver's side window wouldn't open when I went to the ATM (it was about 16F). I messed with the up/down button a few times, then opened the passenger window just to make sure that ANYthing worked. I was eventually able to get the driver's side window to open and close again, but the auto-up function needed to be reset.

To reset the drivers power window, its something like (from vague memory): Turn ignition on (engine off), hold window switch in the ‘down’ position, continuously till the window is all the way down. Then release. And I think then its done. If not, its vice versa. No idea about the passenger window not working.
