Gorgon is loud, brutal, and punches enemies in the groin. They both are great guns - you want the Soma when cutting through foes from afar, and dealing with foes using tactical rapid-fire. You want the Gorgon when you need to hold a position and utterly tear limb from limb every hapless bastard who wanders into your crosshairs.
Gorgon was the first thing I got to 50, never used boltor much as akbolto is better in every way. Gorgon>Akbolto for corpus and non-ancient infested as well, where the armor ignore isnt important. No fire-rate reset if i get stunned or staggered and no fire-rate reset if i decide to wallrun, jump or melee. It generally isn't as strong long range but it has enough bullets and enough of a damage output to just hose anything at range as well. Overall I'd say gorgon > Braton but I pesonally prefer the braton's agility.The vanilla gorgon is definitely not a top tier gun but it's fun with some love and care (just like the supra). Unfortunately, since there's a wraith and prisma version, both having the same minigun feel, it's not worth investing too much into, in terms of formats.Posted April 12, 2013. Gorgon does better damage and more death per magazine. Boltor is more economical and ignores armor. If you pick gorgon you will be running out of ammo from time to time. If you pick Boltor you won't but you also won't be mowing down an insane horde without reloading (though damn close).
