Spec war it, get a 12" piston for the shovelnose. No idea how nice the sionics is, but I got my 16" midlength di barrel chopped to 12.5 and it's fantastic. I've only tried it with my rugged Alaskan so far but I was extremely impressed with the performance, lack of gas to face and the nice tone. Shot smooth as butter.

The Shovelnose flipped to the suppressed setting runs so smoothly and the ejection pattern is essentially unchanged. The Specwar runs around 1-2 o'clock with an H1 and around 3 o'clock with an H2.
