That stator is completely different then most of the ones we see. What you have is a 3 phase stator. You should be able to measure about 0.6 to 0.7 ohms between any 2 of those wires in 3 different combination's. Your sled will covert all it's power to DC voltage, where most of the others sleds run off AC voltage.

Should be over 14v at idle. Will jump to 15v plus when you rev the motor. If it is high 12v at the terminals the stator is basically dead. If it is in the 13v it's underperforming. The stator does not charge the battery - the rec/reg does that - the stator simply generates AC voltage. Check the AC voltage between the yel and yel/red wires disconnected from the rec/reg at both approx. 2500 and 5000 RPM - then check the AC voltage with the wires connected to the rec/reg and let me know what you measure.
