Xfinity gateway is set to bridge mode, you don't use the WiFi on that, and just use your expanded mesh network. I don't know if you can set a google mesh to do it the other way -- Turn the mesh/router into just a regular access point (disable WAN, disable it's DHCP server, set DHCP forwarding to your gateway). Model numbers are useful.

Just wondering if the Netgear firmware is blocking IPv4 when in bridge mode. I would think the comcast just updated the firmware to get IPv6.
Be advised that if you are hanging a stand-alone / separate router off of the gateway device, and the gateway is not in *bridge mode*, you are cascading 2 routing devices which results in an undesirable "double NAT" condition on your home network.
