Functions of Tradovate are mere fractions of NinjaTrader. Tradovate charting tools are laughable. The trend channel tool is absolute trash. I personally prefer how lightweight & simple Tradovate is. Their desktop platform is very powerful and it is much simpler to develop custom indicators for compared to Tradovate. Plus I can access a lot more types of market internals charts (extra cost for market internals and very limited on Tradovate) as well as combine those charts with my futures charts.
