Lg monitor flickering mac.
I keep having this flickering in the monitor (as shown in the video). If I disconnect and reconnect the cables from either the USB-C or the HDMI ends, it sometimes fixes it approximately 20-30% of the time, so sometimes I end up doing this multiple times. The full screen dimming is really bad with the LG but bearly noticeable with the G8. The problem with the G8 is if you use DisplayPort and let the monitor naturally enter sleep mode, there is a high likely hood of crashing your pc. From what I can find the Samsung monitor is cable picky there are some HDMI cables that cause this issue. Get a HDMI 4K cable that supports the refresh rates you are using. Second this. Well known issue with cheap cables. Change to USB-C/Thunderbolt-to-HDMI, when you are purchasing a new cable anyway.Go to Settings. Select Auto Start. This ensures that the UltraFine 5K starts up automatically. WHY this resolved the situation I don’t know. If that doesn’t work, you can choose Factory Reset.
