I also did as Percevel suggested and compared magazines and the updated one has a stainless steel spring where my others don't. Both are the same length and have the same amount of turns.The KelTec CMR30 is a handy rifle that can serve numerous purposes, plus it is a ton of fun to shoot. I know there was a upgraded firing pin for the PMR, not sure about the CMR. The gun has up to now worked perfectly. Suddenly it would not feed a round to save its life, jammed on every shot. The firing pin would not return so when the next round went to chamber it would hit the firing pin causing a FTF jam. ... They were rude and unprofessional, didn't offer any solutions, except to tell me to bite the bullet and pay 120 dollars to ship it back for the " free" warranty.
