From the late 1920's until 1976, the Charles Daly brand name was owned by Sloan's Sporting Goods in New York and Connecticut. The gun may predate the mid-1930's. The presence of surface rust downgrades the condition and value. IMO, if its mechanically sound and you intend to keep it, you should consider having a good double gun 'smith refurbish it.
