Using the plastic twisting tool (#10), provided in the 116719 diverter kit to rotate the diverter (#8) 1/4 of a turn (90 degrees) in either direction. This will help loosen the diverter (#8). Remove the twisting tool (#10). Using pliers, grab the stem of the cartridge (#8) and pull the cartridge (#8) out. This may require some effort.3.
