The pickups/bass overall sounds awesome. Apparently they are custom spec'd Seymour Duncans. Sounds like a P bass but bit more focused (exactly like how JMJ described it). The neck is about as svelte as a baseball bat and the 100% genuine ebonized fingerboard is pitiful. The finish flakes off for no apparant reason and the end pin is so poor it feels like the thing is mounted on a swivel. He has been told that to get this thing in decent shape would require $6-700 minimum.
