Ice Report for the South Shore of Leech Lake 1.24.24 We are currently seeing 19-22 inches of ice on our roads. Off the road we have found a couple of 14" spots but are finding an average of 16-18 inches. We will be allowing Diesel trucks pulling single axel ice houses this weekend. Gas trucks can pull houses up to 24 ft long.
January 25, 2024. Report from the Dock. Ice thicknesses have improved quite a bit since last week’s cold front, and with nicer weather this week, there have been a lot more people fishing. Generally, ATVs, snowmobiles, and side by sides are now being used on lakes across the state.
