Replaced the knock sensor on my daughter's 2004 3.3 NA w/ MT. Gas mileage increased from an average of 14 to 18 on the first tank. I also did valve cover gaskets, NGK iridium plugs, NGK plug wires, hoses at back & underneath intake, and new Nissan long life coolant. At 115K I hope it is relatively maintenance free for a while.

When my knock sensor went bad I relocated it. I made a tool to reach around the back of the engine and pry, brake, the plug off the old one. Then pugged the new one in and mounted it somewhere else. I don't know where it was but I got the suggestion of doing this from the internet.
