When you turn the key to the on position, the theft light starts blinking rapidly. It will continue to do so for about 45 seconds if you leave the key on; then it will go out. However, if you turn the key to start, all you hear is relays clicking. The engine doesn't crank at all. I jumped the starter relay and the engine turns over.Connect a jumper wire between diagnostic connector terminals. Leave jumper wire connected until diagnostic monitor tone sounds (about 5 seconds). Unfortunetly there is no way to bypass this system, that is why it makes a good security system. I have heard of times when people unhooked the battery for awhile (30 minutes) the rehooked and everything was ok. FORD PATS fault codes. B1213: Less than 2 (or 3 if equipped w/Valet key) keys programmed to the system. B1232/B2103 :Transceiver internal antenna damaged. Replace transceiver. B1342: ECU is defective (EEPROM in PCM is not working- replace PCM). PATS related when stored in PCM only.
