But I’ll share what a friend and I did in some of the ports you’ll be visiting. We were on Celebrity, but it’s likely NCL will offer similar excursions. That said the company recommended a pickup time of three hours before departure, so already I have a half hour buffer. Rome is the less busy port of disembarkation for the Epic with approximately 25% of the ship. It should be pretty smooth to do a walk off with hand-carry luggage.Posted September 19, 2015. The freestyle deck is located at the top of a flight of stairs and is a rather small area designed for freestyle sunbathing. We checked it out on the initial day while still in port. It was empty. My friend laid out up there later on a sea day and he said there were a few people up there, but none were topless or nude.
