Springfield prodigy vs staccato p.
Both the prodigy's were $1400 OTD at a lgs. so $1,000 savings vs the Staccato for me (for 1 Prodigy vs 1 Staccato). Of course now I want the P, cause buy all the guns. Even if I add an EGW ignition kit to the 5", I'd still be $850 cheaper than the P. For some that is pocket change, for others, not so much.

Handled the prodigy and the slide to frame fit and action felt smoother than the P. Got a great deal on a NIB 4.25 Prodigy to build like my old Glock days. Hands down Atlas beats Staccato, it’s like the difference between GT500 and an M5.Just from this one photo I would bet that the build quality is better on the Staccato. That doesn't mean the springfield won't be a reliable gun though. You're talking about a $900 price difference between the prodigy and a staccato p that's optic ready.
Since my post earlier last year, sold my Prodigy to a good buddy (i.e., he sells it.. I get first dibs back…lol). My P is so flawless and such a great shooter, I saw no reason to have both. I shoot my pistols and don’t like safe queens, so it was an easy choice. ZERO, absolute zero regrets buying a Prodigy. Learned the 2011 platform on it.
