I removed oil sump and found partially clogged screen and chunks of fibrous material in bottom of pan. Oil was black.

Welcome to TBN. I agree on checking shift linkage & possible shift valve on lower RH side of clutch housing. 1-2-3-4 F & R utilize same trans components. My 1st guess is direction control cable failure which controls F/R in shift valve. Oct 4, 2020 / John Deere 4020 Powershift Transmission #5. OP.

Usually when something freezes, it is the shifter lever (right hand as you sit in the seat), but the range lever on the left can freeze up too. Aug 25, 2012. #1. Hi VicS. The clutch cutout is activated when using the brake as well. It is nice to have when using the loader in a pile of dirt or gravel. Hit the brake, cutout kicks in, use the gas pedal to throttle up and the loader operates much faster. OP.

Step 2: Make sure to use the correct type of bolt specified for the shuttle shift.
