Most DPF buses will do an active or driving regen when at operating temperature and while running at highway speeds. Or there's usually a switch somewhere for a parked regen. Once the DPF is significantly plugged then the driving one won't go and you're forced to do a parked regen. My 2008 IC FE300 had a switch in the drivers area for it.
