Best advice for a newer df player dont kill every random zombie you see. This isnt vanilla and the 1st horde will wreck shop if you kill to many before 7th day. Completing your class quests gives you a helmet light, a nail gun, and early access to better tools, workbenches, concrete and steel. Their base can be camped in, but you'll need to defend them. He's strengthened the wall a good bit making defense easier, but the zombies can and will break in if you are not attentive and use your materials wisely. Darkness Falls is a tremendous way to play 7 Days to Die. The story alone is worth the effort.
