On Ark Ascended I can't remove it buy just setting the tether distance to 100000 like on Ark se, even by changing it in game user settings. Anybody know how to remove it ? Tether is still indeed very much in game for non-dedicated. And as above say; you can't even change it. At least in survival evolved you were able to change the tether length, only ever being teleported when host went into a cave. But now even if you change it, the distance will always be 180 meters.

When you see it pause at that 2 or 3 or 5%, it's because your PC is unpacking the update. I dont know bout that, M.2 SSD and have lots of free space even and have to wait 20 minutes to then play it. If on pc you can setup a non dedicated server by hosting it and they can join tour server while you are online. As for tether you can configure it on pc by typing 1000 into the tether distance option. Don't use the scroll bar.
